Hi, friends. I’m Beth…

The short story is that I’m late thirtysomething wife, mom, and small business owner living in Seattle.

The long story?

Having kids rocked my world. In the “omg we created this human and she’s amazing!” way. And also in the “wtf have we done?” way.

Motherhood was not an easy transition for me.

Before kids, I had a solid career that I had grown diligently for over a dozen years. For many reasons specific to our family, I became a stay at home mom in 2015 when our daughter was born.

The year that followed is a blur. It was not pretty - breastfeeding issues, challenges with feeling lost in motherhood, and pushing down a new career path that was not the right fit for me.

Combined with my Type A / perfectionist tendencies, I was a mess and felt like I was failing at everything.

Thankfully, I eventually I found my footing. I realized there is no such thing as a perfect mom and that there is space to be myself in motherhood. I also had a second baby (our son was born in 2017) and started a small business that I adore.

My hope is that by sharing my story, I encourage other mamas to find their own happiness and fulfillment in this journey.
